CHIBOK KIDNAP: Deal With Niger, Chad, Cameroon- Bakare Tells Jonathan

Kidnapped Girls: Deal With Niger, Chad, Cameroon- Bakare Tells Jonathan
The Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Sunday asked President Goodluck Jonathan to “take action” against Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
Bakare, who spoke at the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, during the church service, said this would be the reward for the countries’ reported complicity in the trafficking of the 234 female pupils of the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, across their borders.

The cleric believed the Federal Government had treated the abduction of the schoolgirls with levity, wondering if it was not because none of the principal officers of the administration was affected by the abduction saga.
Speaking during his sermon on ‘Exposing the lions in the streets’, he argued that if the adopted daughter of Jonathan had been kidnapped while in school, she wouldn’t have enjoyed a state wedding.
Bakare said, “I heard that the wife of the President is going to lead a protest over the abduction of the girls in Borno State. I salute her wisdom. But somebody needs to tell President Goodluck Jonathan, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, that protests and marching the streets will not free the girls who have been in the custody of the terrorists for two weeks.
“What will free the girls is action and the resolve to do the right thing. He needs to take action against the countries that have been aiding the sect in transporting the girls across their borders and marrying them. We are not just the biggest nation in West Africa on paper; we need to show it by taking action against Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
“The President must summon the ambassadors of these countries and demand that they should fish out the girls wherever they are held and given an ultimatum to do so or face serious action; that we shall storm those places. We can’t sit down here and be talking about international treaty while some countries put our national security at risk.”
The cleric added, “If the adopted daughter of the President had been kidnapped like the Borno girls while she was in school, would she have enjoyed a state wedding? Somebody needs to tell Jonathan that these abducted girls have parents.”
He noted that when the United States marked Osama Bin Ladin as a terror leader to be taken out, the US did so in Pakistan.
