Division In Boko Haram Camp As Hunger Set In

As efforts to rescue some 234 girls, earlier whisked away from Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok by members of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, continue to gather momentum, hunger and starvation have allegedly invaded many of the insurgent camps, warranting them to resort to attacking local villages for foodstuffs, money, among others. It was also gathered that local and international sponsors of the group have soft-pedalled for fear of being caught red-handed.A top Military source told our Correspondent that the insurgents had been cut off from their usual supply routes by the Nigerian Military personnel in conjunction with the multi-national forces led by the United States of America.
“You know, initially their sponsors use to drop food and other needs for them with Helicopter, but now since the American drone was mounted around the entire North East, no aircraft would dare get near that area because it would be detected.”
He also stated that intelligence officers and espionage experts who arrived from Israel recently were all over the place with their Nigerian counterparts. “Our intelligence officers are operating from Chad, Niger and Cameroon, and we have been able to cut them off. You must have heard that the Chief of Defence Staff said that we have located the girls; that is the truth and soon we would get the girls out safe.
“Boko Haram gunmen were totally routed in two attacks on both Attagara village in Gwoza Local Government Area and Kawuri village in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, where they have gone to look for food.”
The spokesperson for the Nigerian Military, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, who confirmed the recent development, added that it was an indication that the insurgents had been cornered. “If they can no longer get food, weapons, money and other logistics they need to continue on their evil deeds, then they would have no other option but to surrender.”
The source told our Correspondent further that the insurgents suffered great defeat when they attacked Attagara village Friday evening as the villagers repelled the attack on their community.
