She wrote on her Twitter handle (@obyezeks): “The Federal Government today (Wednesday) hired thugs to beat up Nigerian mothers who, for the last 29 days, stood with the Chibok girls.”
Ezekwesili, who posted the above statement via her Twitter handle, said not minding the humiliation, the women “wiped their tears and resolved to stand.”
She also blamed the police for not rising to the situation, saying the police “stood aloof.”
Ezekwesili led others in a rally at Unity Fountain in Abuja, on Wednesday, to demand more serious action by the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration to rescue more than 230 schoolgirls abducted April 14 from their school in Chibok, Borno State.
