Members of the Christ Embassy Church
in the United kingdom have expressed deep concerns about the whereabouts of Rev
Anita Oyakhilome, wife of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who heads the Believers
LoveWorld Assembly, the mother body for the church worldwide.
Despite that Pastor Chris had taken a
‘don’t question my authority’ position in his last meeting with the UK arm of
his ministries, the aggrieved members are not resting in their oars. Instead, a
facebook page tagged: Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome? has been opened to
further their quest.
In a meeting with all UK pastors and
deacons at Christ Embassy Bermondsey, Pastor Chris, confirming that there was a
rancour within his immediately family, asked not to be questioned about his
decisions.
“This is not an organisation or a
political party, so it’s not a place for you to air your opinion or scrutinise
what we do. We had a vision, started and you joined us. If you don’t like what
we do, you can get out.
“I already started Christ Embassy
before I married her. I didn’t marry her and said we should start Christ
Embassy. I was already pastoring. I already set my sail and knew my direction
before I married her. I only said come and help me,” he said, hinting that he
has divorced his wife.
“Churches where members air their
views never grow,” he added.
Reports have it that Rev Anita, who
was vice president of BLW, was last seen in the local church she used to head
in November 2013.
