Nigerian Top Clergys Curse Boko Haram Insurgents

Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor Tunde Bakare, two of Nigeria’s very popular Christian leaders, have invoked the wrath of God on the Boko Haram terrorist group that has endlessly inflicted pains in the country, killing its citizens and maiming others.
Oyedepo is the founder of the Living Faith Church, also called Winners Chapel while Bakare is Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly.
According to a recent United Nations report, the Boko Haram victims have hit six million. In most cases, they have carried out ferocious attacks on communities in parts of Nigeria with little or no resistance from the Nigerian security forces.
On Sunday, the extremists killed many worshippers in Chibok and burnt about five churches while services were going on.
Also, last week Wednesday, the terrorist group attacked a shopping mall in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, killing dozens of people.
Bishop Oyedepo, who used the remaining 10 minutes of his teaching at the second service in the church’s headquarters, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun state, on Sunday to pray against the continued attack on Nigerians by the sect, said it was time for calamities to befall the group.
He joined the charged congregation to pray that the air the members of the group breathe become carbon monoxide.
He also commanded death upon the members of the sect, their sponsors and sympathisers, adding further that they would witness more attacks from serpents and bees.
He recalled a report last week in which some of the members who were apprehended confessed that they were running away from the forest because they were being attacked by serpents and bees which disappear after biting and stinging them. They also said that victims of the snake bites do not last more than 24 hours.
Oyedepo prayed that the members of the group and their sponsors would never know peace and that whereever they are, they would be tormented by the spirit of death.
He also urged members of the church to continue to intercede for the over 200 abducted girls from Chibok in Borno State.
This is not the first time Bishop Oyedepo has prayed against Boko Haram. He had for over two months now urged members of his church to pray individually and in groups against insurgency in the country.
On 21 May, 2014, a major programme was held in the church’s headquarters concerning insecurity in Nigeria and Oyedepo noted that the country may be at the verge of breakup.
He called on all Christians in the country to pray fervently for Nigeria and to invoke vengeance on the sect and their sponsors because the country must not experience another civil war.
Also, Pastor Tunde Bakare and his congregation during a vigil on Friday, 27 June, engaged in rigorous prayers against the sect and continued with the prayers during Sunday service on 29 June.
During the sessions, he placed curses on the sect, their sponsors and sympathisers, asking God to send more serpents into their camps and kill them.
He said they will never know peace until they are exterminated to give way for a new Nigeria that is about to emerge.
Bakare said God is about to raise people that will enthrone the new Nigeria.
