Nigerian Entrepreneurs Urge To Consider ICT As Best Window To Business Success


The Deputy Director Of KAYMU Nig, Mr. Evangeline Wiles has encouraged Nigerian entrepreneurs to always test their solutions and ideas with their potential customers before attempting to break into a new market.

He stated this at a workshop in Lagos, had in attendance leading International internet technology developmnent business giants, tagged: Technology Innovation Gap At Tech For Africa Forum.
He stressed the importance for young enterprenuers on the need that innovation is about identifying a unique solution to an existing need.
Wiles, urged them to assert innovative prowess becuase it’s an idea of improving on what has already been created by someone else, which according to him is a uniques angle to an existing idea or business model and executing it well.
His Word'' As a solution provider or business owner, the onus is on you to adapt the business or solution to your local environment''.
Also Speaking, Mr James Gibson of HelloFood Nig, and his counterpart in Africa Internet Holding (AIH), Mr. Obi Ejimofo of Lamudi.Nig,  outlined the key framework to start up a successful business empire in Nigeria, with the help of ICT,
''Execution of key for every start-up. Nigeria tech space is very large and there is more than enough room for smart enterpreneurs to develop a plan, it doesnt matter if it's inexistence, there will always be market for a well executed business paln;' Gibson x-rayed.
According to Ejimofo, “foreign investment has changed the local technology scene. While in the past, local investors have focused on investments considered more tangible, such as commodities and real estate, the significant rate of return on foreign investments into ecommerce have triggered local investors to take the sector more seriously.”
In His contribution to the charge for Nigerian youths to take up the advantage inherent in the cyber space for positive and innovatinve mechanism to nations develoment, Mr. Christian Keller of Carmudi Nig,concluded by stating that ''the internet industry is global by nature. A good mix of local and global talents is as essential as a good mix of local and global funding to grow the Nigerian stake in the global Internet ecosystem"
