In th bid to build a virile Anambra state with vigour, the executive goveror of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano, has called on the opposing political parties to sheath their swords and join hand with him to build a better state that they will bequeath for the cumming generation.
He stated this at the Government Lodge Amawbia, while reacting to his victory at the appeal court Enugu, dedicating it to the people of the Anambra state.Chief Obiano, stressed the need for all Anambarians, regardless of thier party affiliations to forget politics and think of Anambra development as their priority project.
He called on the APC candidate in the November 16th Governorship Election, Senator Chris Ngige and hiis PDP counterpart, Comrade Tony Nwoye to use their rich networks around the country and abroad to attract developmental projects to the state..
Also speaking, the national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, lauded the judiciary for restoring hope back to the people of Anambra state, he stessed further that the recent victory at the Appeal court showed the acceptability of the governor by the people and joined the governor to extend hand of fellowship to the opposition party to come up with ideas that would develop Anambra state.
In their reaction, the chairman of theAll Progressive Congress (APC), Anambra State, Barrister Emeka Ibeh, expressed disatisfaction in the judgement of the appeal court stating that the party's petition was based fact for the court to correct the wrongs done by INEC in the last election.
His Word '' What APC is challenging is that rape, that fraud commited by INEC,that is what we are challenging, that Election is not a reflect of the will of Anambra state''.
He said the party is gladden in its wisdom to commend the appeal court justices, having observed the stipuated sixty days period carved out in the electoral act and submit that the party has greater confidence in the Supreme Court to give them victory.
It would be recalled that the Justice Isiahk Bello Led Appeal Court Election committee in Enugu, had on 27th of July, 2014. dismissed the four applications filed by Senator Chris Ngige of the APC and Comrade Tony Nwoye of the PDP on the grounds of merit.
