Ekwunife Calls For Unity In Anambra PDP
Following Governor Willie Obiano recent handover of three armoured personnel carriers to Anambra State Police Command to boost crime fighting in the State, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor has extolled the Governor for the way and manner he has handle the issue of insecurity in Anambra, saying that no meaningful development could take place in an insecure environment.
Bishop Ezeokafor who stated this at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, while interacting with journalists said barely six months in the office, the Governor through his Operation Nkpochapu had been able to rid the state of criminal elements that hitherto held Ndi Anambra to ransom.
He expressed satisfaction over the synergy between the security agents and the state government and exhorted them to maintain the tempo adding that any form of relapse from any of them would be tantamount to waste of resources and as well placed the lives of the citizenry into serious danger and perpetual fear of unknown.
The Catholic Prelate, while commending Governor Willie Obiano charged the Police to use the three armoured carriers for the purpose ti was meant for by ensuring that crime rate in the state was reduced to its barest minimum.
He lauded the State Government effort to make Anambra State safe for every one to live and also reiterated the Church’s resolve to always support the present administration with prayers noting that what Ndi Anambra craves for was a safe and crime free environment from the government.
