Anambra state command of the Federal Road Safety Commission has
charged motorists in the state to adhere strictcly to the road safety guide
embaded in the Nigerian Highway Code which is the hallmark of keeping motorists and
other road users safe from road mishaps.
The new sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission,
Anambra state command, Mr. Sunday Ajayi said this at a coutesy visit on the management
of siverbird communications in Awka, stating that life of a single person means
a lot to the commission and urged motorists to keep the road safe for all .
“”People must get to be patient, plan your journey, be on the
road and not in a haste, for it is better to get to the destination late than the
journey aborted.which is very key””
“”If you lock up the road, the time wasted while trying to
stay in the locked up environment is so much and the security too is bridged,
because anything could happen. So we want to talk to Ndi-Anambra to corporate
with us as we do our work. We will be going out to enforce the law and we expect
that people carry their original drivers licence while they are driving on the
highways,”” Said Ajayi
Responding, the business manager, silverbird communication
Awka, Mr. Kellly Ihetu Chidiebere appreaciated the level ofd work done by the member of the
commission in the state and urged them to do more in keeping the highway safe
from road mishaps.
“”Any life lust is a big one to the family and dependencies,
we would want your commissioner to do more as you can to sanitize the road,
aspecially the okada riders, who normally pose as bigger challenges to
motorists on the highway”” . Kelly said.
