The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor has advised against taking undue advantage of the poor, the needy and the weak in society.
Bishop Ezeokafor who gave the advice in a homily during his pastoral visit to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Chaplaincy, Awka stressed the need for Christians to live according to God’s injunction and not pretend to be holy only when they were in the presence of God.
Earlier in a remark, the Chaplain of the chaplaincy, Rev. Fr. In an interview, the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, thanked the Bishop for the visit, especially as they just begun a new academic year.
The event which started con-celebrated Eucharistic Holy Mass had in attendance low, high and mighty in society notable among whom were the Deputy Diocesan Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Chidume; two former Vice Chancellors of the University, Prof. Pita Ejiofo; Prof. Boniface Egboka; ASUU-NAU chairperson, Dr. Dennis Aribodor; Director of the news and current affairs department Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Mr. Gab Okpalaeze; Mr. Don Onyenji head of ABS Onitsha among other distinguished personalities.
