Father Mbaka Endorses Ekweremadu For ANother Term in Senate

The fiery Enugu Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka at the weekend endorsed the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu for the Senate in the 2015 general election.
Rev. Fr. Mbaka who declared the support during the weekly prayer vigil at the Adoration Ministry ground in Enugu, said the Deputy President of the Senate had done so well and deserved to be reelected.

He said: “We have had a Senate President, and we have equally had Senators, but it is Senator Ekweremadu that has given the people of Enugu and the South East the feel of governance.
“Many of the roads and development projects you see around Awgu, Oji-River, Ezeagu, Aninri, and many parts of Enugu and the South East came courtesy of the quality representation by Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
“Besides, he is here with his wife, he has demonstrated the ability to keep his family, and that is the first test of leadership”.
Describing Ekweremadu as a man with a good heart and compassionate feelings, he said the Adoration Ministry would stand by the Senator to ensure he is returned to continue his good work for Enugu and the South East.
He added: “Talking about Enugu West Senatorial or Enugu State is even local politics. What is at stake here is Igbo interest in particular and Nigerian interest in general. Igbos cannot sacrifice what they have because of the selfish ambition of anybody.
“Senate is not a matter of ‘represented by” as we know it in Enugu today. We need able, tested and trusted hand like Ekweremadu who can always stand up to be counted; who can deliver on promise; and who can treat every man with a sense of justice, equity, love, and kindness.”
He described the impeachment of the former Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi as demonstration of wicked politics.
The charismatic priest observed: “How could anybody think of impeaching Sunday Onyebuchi? Did anyone ever hear the quiet man? How many people even knew he was there? Yet they impeached him for rearing poultry whereas the governor himself has poultry, piggery and ranch in the Government House. The Governor’s cattle and all sorts of animal move about and harass people in the Government House“.
Also speaking, the Deputy President of the Senate, who said he was at the adoration ground to seek the face of God towards his senatorial ambition and a peaceful 2015 election, thanked the congregation, and the people of Enugu State and the South East for their support and prayers.
He said although the Peoples Democratic Party had started selling nomination forms, he believed it was more important to commit his 2015 electoral journey to God first before picking a form.
He said he had a covenant with God as a youth to use him as an instrument to change the circumstances of poverty and underdevelopment among his people, noting that he would continue to be faithful because God too had been gracious and faithful unto him.
He said he would partner with the Adoration Ministry towards the completion of the Adoration ground and ensure that the road leading to the Ministry was constructed.
