The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Rt. Rev.
Paulinus Ezeokafor, on Sunday cautioned electorates to eschew money politics
but vote wisely in the 2015 general election for the good of the country.
Ezeokafor stated this while speaking to journalists at the Golden Jubilee celebration and dedication of additional three new
complexes at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church Umunze,in Orumba South L.G.A of Anambra
state.
The cleric, who stressed the need for Nigerian electorates to vote for the right people at all tiers of administrations and ensure that
they are not assuaged by money-bag politicians, which in turn may motgaged the
future of the society.
‘’ Now that election are closed at hand, all we pray is that the electorates
should try as much as posible to be able to find the right people that will be
able to direct the affaris of the states,the local government or whatever it
may be’’.
‘’’It is very necessary when, the right
people are put in place in the area of governance, things move, but if you put
wrong people there, for sure things will not go well and the society will be worst
for it’’ said Ezeokafor..
Also speaking, the Progressive Peoples’
Alliance chieftain in Anambra state, Chief Godwin Ezeemo, urged politicains to
abide by the rules to ensure the 2015 general elections are hitch-free.
‘’My advise to politicians nationwide to live
right and do things right with the fear of God’’ Ezeemo advised.
Earlier in an address read by the parish
secretary on publication Mr.
Felix Nsofor, had called on well meaning Nigerians to come to the aide of the
church, to join hands with them to be able to actualize the task, by realizing the Seat of wisdom secondary school to compliment the existing primary school
and other assistance to speed up the completion of other pendng projects in the church.
Highlight of the occation was the former
dedication of the renovated church auditiorium, a 25-feet Ave Maria Grotto
stature, and a one story building for Reverend Fathers Hall by the Cathoilc
Bishop of Awka Diocese, Rt. Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor.
