Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has expressed certainty that he will defeat President Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming general election, if given the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He said: “I don’t know why me and Jonathan collected our forms on the same day. “The indication is that maybe, me and him are going to slug it out in 2015 and once that happens, I am sure you know the answer, that he is going to lose. He would lose completely.” He observed that Nigerians were unhappy with the present administration and could not wait to vote it out in 2015.bThe governor urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be an unbiased umpire in the 2015 elections, stressing that the opposition would monitor keenly the
exercise to ensure that no foul play was allowed. Kwankwaso also condemned the withdrawal of the security details of the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal by the police authorities following his defection to the APC. “Some of these our friends in Abuja are shameless. “Anytime they have defection from any party to their party, they celebrate it. But anytime we have defection from their party to any other party, they take it as a fight. “I don’t think that double standards is good for them, I don’t think it is good for democracy or for this country”, he added. Kwankwaso further lamented the reign of insurgency in Nigeria, and the attendant loss of lives and property. He assured that if elected as the President of Nigeria, he would work hard to put an end to the problem
