The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese His Lordship Most Rev Dr Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor has urged Ndi - Anambra to endeavour to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) at specific relevant designated centres of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ) across the State.
Bishop Ezeokafor who made the appeal during the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers Awka Diocese held at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Awka, exhorted the people to adhere strictly to the directive of government.
He urged Ndi -Anambra to cooperate with INEC, pointing out that participating in electoral process of electing people into positions of authority and responsibility is a civic responsibility that must be embraced with both hands. That it is the only tool to use in voting in the preferred candidate and use to send out the wrong ones.
Bishop Ezeokafor, noted that INEC has shown through the feat of Osun and Ekiti States governorship elections that the era of election manipulations are over for good and that the people's votes will not just be counted but must count.
The Catholic Prelate, commended the election umpire for listening and responding to criticisms that trailed the creation of over thirty thousands polling units which the body has suspended till after 2015 general elections.
This according to him was a manifestation of the maturity of the commission and those piloting its affairs.
The man of God, commended the president for the free hand the electoral body is enjoying without any form of interference from him or his office which he described as unprecedented.
