A 14-man committee to oversee to the successful coordination of
General Mohammadu Buhari and Professor
Yomi Osibajo presidential election in Anambra state has been inaugurated with
the mandate to ensure the success of All Progressive Congress Presidential
poll in the state.
Inaugurating the committee, leader of the party and senator
representing Anambra Central, Senator Chris Ngige gave the charge with the
mandate to ensure APC wins the presidential slots by 60 per cent vote cast, and
replicate same by winning the three senatorial seats, 10 House of
representatives and twenty house of assembly seats in the state.
He outlined though that The People Democratic Party (PDP)
and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have agreement to field a single presidential
candidate in the Febuary election, but expressed optimisms that the presence
and influence controlled by APC in Anambra will deliver the state for their
presidential Candidate.
Senator Ngige urged the committee to leave up to their
expected responsibility, noted that victory is assured for APC not only in
Anambra State, but in the entire south eastern part of the country will vote
massively for APC presidential candidate.
Responding, the newly inaugurated committee chairman, of the
General Mohamaddu Buhari campaign committee in Anambra state, Honourable Chima
Okafor, assured with confidence that
they will deliver on their mandate and harp on the qualities of persons APC
parade which according to him command full support of the people of Anambra
state.
‘’We want to assure you that we will be able to deliver on
the assignment before us, I and my members, will work towards achieving finest
result for APC in Anambr a state, I want to assure you that with God and the
people of Anambra state behind us, we will be able to deliver APC in the state’’
‘’When God is working, you don’t ask question. What God has
done with APC, you will know that God is at work, When you look at what is
happening in Nigeria and what God has done in APC, you will know that this is God’ at work'’ Okafor said.
