Yesterday Gov. Adams Oshiomhole's of Edo State wedded.
Many people, including notable PDP chieftains such as Liyel Imoke, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Seriake Dickson, Godswill Akpabio, attended.
People like Ngige Nwachukwu are now running all over the place breaking the "wonderful"news of the century: Obi attending the wedding of the opposition.
I have the special, personal letter Oshiomhole wrote to Obi telling him that he look forward to seeing his cherished friends such as him attend his wedding. Perhaps, Ngige does not know the bond existing between the two men. Has he asked himself why Oshiomhole, in 2012, insisted and invited Obi to come to Edo and commission some of his projects? Has he asked himself how many times Oshiomhole visited Obi when he was still the Governor?
I have never known Ngige to be a serious person or a profound thinker to give certain actions the benefit of deep thought. Is he saying that it is a crime to attend the wedding of a person who does not belong to our parties? Common, this is incestous thinking!
Come to think of it, the reactions of people like Ngige and even the lunatic fringe, to things concerning Obi show how seriously Obi is taken. Many Nigerians long for such attention but have not got it. Such things renew my happiness working for him. It shows how popular Obi is, such that whatever he does is scrutinized by Nigerians. Just imagine, my boss attended a wedding and some Nigerians are comparing it to Beethoven's symphony. What a great man!
I think it is right to say that Obi belongs to one of the wonders of history about which we shall continue to examine and scrutinize his actions, without knowing him. I am waiting for Ngige to one day tell the world that something must be wrong with Obi, since after the election he decided to start wearing brown, instead of black shoes. Perhaps he should go on and interpret it to mean that Obi wants to join the APC.
Honestly, some people's reactions leave us always confounded. I am still scratching my head in perplexity!
