Anambra DSS Partners NDLEA To Combat Illicit Drug Traffcking

 In the bid to rid Anambra state of illicit drug consumption and trafficking, the new state Director of the Department of the State  Service, Mr. SY Ajege has  promised to partner with the National Drug Law Enforcement (NDLEA) in battling all elements associated with illicit drug trafficking for sustainable national development and stability.
 He made the promise in Awka, on a familiarization visit to the NDLEA commander Anambra state, Mr. Sule Momdu said, DSS Anambra command would do everything within its constitutional provision to  collaborate  with NDLEA in the fight against illicit drug consumption and trafficking.
Mr. SY Ajege commended the commander of the NDLEA, assured that his command will provide necessary assistance to ensure the collaboration works and assured of their renewed effort to strengthened the already established relationship between the two commands.
‘I am here to familiarize with you and to commend you for the  immense achievements you have recorded in the state, they are  there on the pages of Newspapers and electronic media and am here to further enhance the existing relationship between NDLEA and the DSS Anambra command is sustained'.

‘I want to assure you that DSS Anambra command will partner with your command to strengthen your effort in making sure Drug trafficking and other related criminal activities  are arrested’. He assured.
Responding, the commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Anambra state, Mr. Sule Momodu appreciated the effort of the Department of State Service  which according to him would help in the fight against illicit drugs consumption and trafficking in the state.
He said, the joint collaboration of the two security agencies would serve as a morale booster to fight against illicit drug trafficking in the state.

 ‘The collaboration of the two security agencies would go a long way to reduce illicit drug consumption and trafficking in the state, counting on the network of information gathering of the Department of the State Service and NDLEA, we are committed to the call and our resolve on the need to see Anambra becomes a drug free state in Nigeria is total and we are poised to achieve this soonest’.

‘It takes the collective effort of stakeholders to win the war against illicit drugs. This show of solidarity is highly appreciated and will serve as a motivation to the Agency. The command is inspired that you recognise the importance of the collaboration  in promoting national peace and security’ He Submitted.
