The governor had approached the Supreme Court to determine the jurisdictional disposition of the election tribunal that was supposed to have its sitting in Rivers state, against their position to shift their operation to Abuja, which according to him lack jurisdictional prowess to give fair jugmeent.
The Supreme today however dismissed his appeal and held the appeal court judement , standing on the position of security of lives and material of election tribunal and personnel.
It would be recalled that the Rivers State election tribuanla sitting in Abuja had on Saturday nullified the election of Governor Nyesom Wike on grounds of Massive irregularities and non complinace with electoral act alongside proven of evidences brought before the court by the respondent, Honourable Atedo Peterside that there were no elections in many LGAs in the state.
The Tribunal Also nullified the elections of the Rover state speaker and twenty other lawmakers, all from the People;s Democratic Party of Nigeria.
