Ekwunife sues for peace over Anambra Central APC primary

AsPirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra Central Senatorial District primary, Senator Uche Ekwunife has urged her supporters to be calm and wait for the decision of the party.
The party’s primary election to pick the candidate to fly the party’s flag in the Anambra Central Senatorial District, which was between Ekwunife and the pioneer Woman leader of the party, Sharon Ikeazor ended on Wednesday night with three out of the seven local governments which make up the district yet to vote.

At the end of the voting by four local governments, including Awka South, Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha, Ekwunife was said to be leading in the vote count.

As at press time yesterday, delegates from Awka North, Idemili North and South were still waiting at the venue of the election to commence their own voting, though the officials were allegedly said to have returned to Abuja.
However, addressing her supporters yesterday, Ekwunife said whatever decision of the leadership of the party in the primary would be treated as sacrosanct.
She explained that she holds the party in high esteem and would take any decision of the party in good faith but  urged her supporters to be prayerful as they await the final primary election into the remaining three local governments.
She thanked the delegates for turning out en masse to vote for her, and expressed confidence that she would win the primary election and fly the party’s flag.
