The Nigeria's longest serving senator, Senator David Mark has won the February 19th Benue South Senatorial rerun election.
He defeated the All Progressive Congress Candidate Daniel Onjeh with 84, 192. to 71, 621Announcing the result, the Independent National Electoral Commission, Resident Electoral Office for Benue State, Prof.Ishaku Enigi. declared the former senate president winner with an
overwhelming victory in the five local government that made up of Benue South senatorial district
It would be recalled that Daniel Onjeh petitioned the appeal court to nullify the election of Senator David Mark as the winner of the March 28th,2015, National Assembly election and the appeal court granted his appeal and struct out the tribunal victory and called for a rerun.
