Nigerian condemns Manchester United to Europa League defeat

Manchester United v Newcastle United - Premier League
These are indeed bad times for Manchester United under Louis van Gaal as the three-time European champions suffered an embarrassing 2-1 defeat away to Midtylland of Denmark on Thursday.
United were condemned to a 10th defeat for the 2015/16 season with goals from two Africans – Uganda’s Pione Sisto, who equalized in the 44th minute after Memphis Depay had given the English side the lead on 37 minutes and Paul Onuachu, who came on as a substitute to give the Danish champions the win with a goal in the 77th minute.

The lanky 6ft 7in 21-year-old striker came on in the 60th minute in place of Martin Pusic.
He could have scored earlier in the 62nd minute when his header seemed destined for goal until United were saved by a wonderful save by stand-in goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, who had to replace David de Gea, who was injured in the warm up before the match.
But it was a temporary reprieve as Onuachu made his presence felt when his shot from the edge of the box squeezed in off Romero’s right-hand post.
Another Nigerian, Rilwan Hassan, started in midfield for the Danish side but was substituted in the 67th minute.
In other Europa League matches, Brown Ideye played all 90 minutes for Olympiacos, in their 1-0 away loss to Anderlecht, for whom Imoh Ezekiel was on the bench for the duration of the match.
