He frowned at the idea whereby people would formulate unconfirmed allegations, said him and his team would not be distracted by the antics of oppositions poised to discredit his administration but would devote the strength of his government to providing quality service delivery to the people of Anambra state.
“Ndi-Anambra, my administration has asphalted over 120 roads In just two years, I want it placed on record that there is no single road project carried out by my predecessors that we have abandoned, of truth, though, we may not have been moving in the paste we had wanted to due to the economic melt-down in the country but we make bold to say that we have not abandoned any project from the previous administrations”.
“Also, we are the only state currently in Nigeria that has increased workers salaries by 15 per cent, where other states are looking for bail out from the federal government , we have also cleared the 1.5 billion naira salaries owed to the state water corporation staff and have since cleared over one billion naira pension arrears owed to our advance citizens”.
He noted with unequivocal believe that his administration would not rest in its oars and fashion out programmes to ensure all monetary services accrued to the state government is remitted and promised to hit the target of 2.2 billion naira Internal Generation Revenue before the end of 2016.
He assured that his administration is on the pedestal of making the economy of Anambra state the most viable ever in the country and turn it to be the second to non investment haven of Nigeria, where investors will have value for their investment .
“Similarly, we have improve the IGR generation from the timely N500 million we inherited from our predecessor and have since increase it to ove 1.3 billion naira monthly, we where able to achieve this through the cutting edge and blocking loopholes to ensure that money accrued to the government are judiciously remitted, also we have reviewed over 800 ghost workers in the Anambra state civil service.
“Our mantra is to ensure that governance carried out in the through interest of the people. Our target before the end of this year is to see that our IGR increase to about 2.2 billion every month.”
He continued: " Successes we are recording in the area of Security, Agricultural revolution, Oil & Gas, Education and Infrastructural development is unconnected with our Four-Pillar road map in connection with our well carved out enablers to re position the state to be the safest place for investment in Nigeria". he added.
