"THEY CANNOT BE GATHERED WITH THE HAND"-----Amb. Igbokwe

During the week I read an article which says that: “The Federal Government and 59 other nations will in May sign agreement on the sanctions to be imposed on corrupt political and public office holders. It further detailed that: “President Muhammadu Buhari will join 59 other world leaders in the United Kingdom to seal the pact by which any of the 60 countries involved would no longer be a “safe haven” for treasury looters.

Some of the sanctions that may be imposed on culprits include:
travel restriction or denial of entry visa into the 60 countries;
rejection of request for political asylum by corrupt political and public office holders;
likely loss of citizenship;
no more approval of naturalization for any corrupt person;
no establishment of shell companies abroad; and
the corrupt will not be allowed to operate foreign accounts in any of the 60 nations.
In making the disclosure, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice said: “the agreement will make it difficult for those stealing public funds in the country to escape abroad or operate slush accounts to stash cash away.
He said: “The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is stepping up the fight against corruption. I am happy to bring to your notice that Nigeria and 59 other countries will enter into an agreement in May on the imposition of international sanctions against corrupt political and public office holders. This will take place at the 2016 international summit on anti-corruption in the UK.
After reading the article what came to my mind was the last words of David in 2 Samuel Chapter 23, Verses 1 to 7. With particular emphasis on Verses 6 and 7: 6 But evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns, which are not gathered with the hand. 7 Whoever touches thorns uses a tool of iron or the shaft of a spear; they are burned up where they lie.”
 (2 Samuel Chapters: 23: Verses 6-7-NIV):
These are the last words of David:
“The inspired utterance of David son of Jesse,
the utterance of the man exalted by the Most High,
the man anointed by the God of Jacob,
the hero of Israel’s songs:
2 “The Spirit of the LORD spoke through me;
his word was on my tongue.
3 The God of Israel spoke,
the Rock of Israel said to me:
‘When one rules over people in righteousness,
when he rules in the fear of God,
4 he is like the light of morning at sunrise
on a cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain
that brings grass from the earth.’
5 “If my house were not right with God,
surely he would not have made with me an everlasting covenant,
arranged and secured in every part;
surely he would not bring to fruition my salvation
and grant me my every desire.
6 But evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns,
which are not gathered with the hand.
7 Whoever touches thorns
uses a tool of iron or the shaft of a spear;
they are burned up where they lie.”

In other words, CORRUPT/EVIL MEN are all to be cast aside like thorns, which are not gathered with the hand. Whoever touches CORRUP MEN (thorns) uses a tool of iron or the shaft of spear; they are burned up where they lie. So CORRUPTION cannot be handled with kid gloves, because Corrupt men are evil men and evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns, which are not gathered with the hand and whoever touches CORRUPT men uses a tool of iron or the shaft of spear. Whatever measure it takes to fight against corruption including the collaboration and cooperation of international communities is acceptable in the sight of God. I mean whatever measure in fighting Corruption, including death is in line with verse 7 which says: Whoever touches thorns (evil/corrupt men) uses a tool of iron or the shaft of spear; THEY ARE BURNED UP WHERE THEY LIE”, thus spelling death for the CORRUPT.

As for Mr. President in the fight against Corruption, I have a message for you, The Lord is saying to you: “FEAR NOT, FOR I WILL HELP THEE”

And for the Corrupt and Evil men, here is your reward: “in the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning they are gone. This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us! (Isaiah Chapter 17, Verse 14).
