One of the students, Bamidele Adetayo, who spoke to Sunday Scoop, said he was now ready to explore the world of film-making. ‘‘The training I received has prepared me. The short film project we are working on has further strengthened my resolve to excel. I am ready to explore the world of motion pictures,” he said.
Legendary film-maker, Tunde Kelani, seven weeks ago, opened the door of his Abeokuta-based film school to its pioneer students. He was supported by respected facilitators such as Steve Sodiya, Niji Akanni, Bola Bello and Muritala Sule who helped him prepare the students for a career in film.
In a statement, Kelani said the school was the highlight of his career. “I call this my career highlight. There is so much experience I have garnered over the years and I have decided to give back. This is why I decided to found a training institute, where those who want to seek knowledge in film-making and media can learn theoretically and practically,’’ he stressed.
