They lamented the deplorable state of the inter-states road, which history posits as the road leading to the Igbo-Ukwu Museum antiquity known as 'origin of all migrants;.
The situation posses to be challenging for the people of Igbo-Ukwu community over the deplorable state of their road which connects six communities through Onitsha, the commercial nerve centre of Anambra state.
The resident complained of neglect, on the part of government, adding that they have recorded lost of many lives and goods worth million of naira due to the dilapidated state of the Igbo-Ukwu Onitsha road.
Apart from a lot of dilapidated infrastructure or non-availability of them, the major concern of the Igbo-Ukwu people now is the state of Nnobi-Awka-Etiti-Igbo-Ukwu-Ekwulobia road, they called quick intervention of both state and federal government to fix the road as a measure to ameliorate their sufferings.
The Igbo-ukwu community houses the National Gallery of Arts, Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture, the Yam House, and Old People’s Home and Botanic Garden.
