National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Anambra Command has urged villagers to report all illicit drug peddling complains to designated NDLEA committee heads in various community and Local government area nearest to them.
It's encouraged the people to make information confidential to enable the committee come out with vital information to arrest suspected culprits.

Addressing the local government representatives from the 21 local government and 364 wards at a symposium in Awka, the state commander of the NDLEA, Sule Momodu said the workshop was design to create a synergy between the grassroots and the state command to come up with a formidable front to fight illicit drug peddling and trafficking in the state.
Commander Sule Momodu encouraged social worker in the villagers and local government headquarters to see themselves as partners in the fight against illicit drug trafficking and abuse.
He lamented that most of the culprit apprehended were mainly from the rural communities, where they ended up using major cities as the trade centres
On their parts, the participants at the workshop, promised to extend their operations in the fight against illicit drug peddling, to assist the drug agencies achieve its desired goals, but called for improved working relationship that would afford them the opportunity to reach out to the nearest command in terms of arrest and handling over culprits over to the command for prosecution.
The workshop had in attendance, traditional rulers from the 181 communities, villages Heads. Representatives from the 21 local government service commission and special Aide volunteers from all the communities participated in the lecture
