Members representing Anambra East and West in the Federal House of Representatives, Dr. Tony Nwoye has urged people of the south eastern part of Nigeria to abstain from the idea of playing politics with sentiment.
He said Leaders should be judged by their works not minding the political zones it represent, only if his programme of governance have direct bearing on the lives of people in that particular zone.
Dr. Nwoye made this public at the 25 Anniversary of Awka Ambassador Silver Jubilee fiesta in Awka, said Igbo should team up with the present adminstrations to excell in the discharge of their duties to the people of the zone.The legislature took time to educate the people on the need to change their mind set towards certain leader, charged them to base their judgement on constructive criticism.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari remains the only leader who has mapped out unique projects to be executed in the south east.
Noted that the Second Niger Bridge, Abaji-Anam road project and completion of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressed way from the Umunya Axis has been appropriated for in the 2017 budget.

He reaffirmed his confidence that what is budget for in 2017 fiscal year would be judiciously expended.

Honourable Tony Nwoye advocates for the autonomy of the Local Government administrations in the country, said it is the true reflection of a viable economy .
He reiterates the legislatures move to ensure money meant for local government adminstrations are no longer diverted, insist the Supreme Judgement in Ekiti state gives them locus to ensure local government funds are given to the elected members and are not been tampered with by their different state government
