The People’s Democratic Party Chairman in Anambra state, Ken Emeakhaye has alleged a murder attempt on his life by Governor Willie Obiano over his request syance on constitutional breaches by the governor.
He solicited for security agencies support to protect him.
He said the governor threatened his life during a telephone conversation between them.
Taking journalists round the state command of the police and the department of the state security service, the PDP chairman said he had received several threats to his life from the governor and his aides.
He said this is because of his stand as a leader of the democratic opposition in the state.
He called for protection from the state security agencies to help in averting the alleged threat to his life by Governor Willie Obiano.
He called on the people of Anambra state to prevail on the governor to desist from carrying out his alleged murder threat on him.
When contacted, the senior special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Strategic and Legislative Matters, Oliver Okpara dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded.
He added that telephone conversation does not amount to physical violence.
A mild drama ensued while at the Anambra police command headquarter, where officials of the command denied journalists access to cover the visit, but the DSS different.
