Anambra Guber Election: Tens of Thousand APGA Supporters Declare Support Obiano’s Opposition Candidate

League of aggrieved All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) supporters  have declared support for a governorship candidate of the Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) alleging that the present administration have decided to take care of people only from his zone, forgetting their inputs in the course of his electioneering struggle.

Describing the Governor Willie Obiano led administration as not been supportive to the plight of founding members of APGA, the aggrieved APGA members said they would remain in the party but work against the reelection of the present administration to retain his office..
Correspondent Bamidele Ajayi who monitored the rally in Awka, reports that the exercise displayed exchange of party stakeholders pact, forming the next governorship election unequal participation of members.
Declaring their support for Godwin Ezeemo’s governorship ambition to drive home their grievance against the sitting governor, Willie Obiano, the former national chairman of the APGA,  Maxi Okwu, represented by his special assistance political, Okwudili Nwakabia regretted that the governor has decided not to genuinely reconcile them back into the party, which culminated his action where they alleged  were discarded as a group who supported him in the build up to his electioneering withnothing to show for their support.
The group affirmed their support for a distance person who would provide both social and politics protection to them as political stakeholders in the state.

Accepting the people’s notion to have a leader, whose penchant for human capital development would be second to none, the convener of the gathering promised to assuage their interest if given the opportunity to re-define governance in its true essence in the state.
He condemned in what he described as irascibility in governance, wrong application of state resources and insensitive to the plight of the people as attribute they concluded as the framework the present administration adopts in governance .

It would be recalled that governor Willie Obiano ones set up a reconciliatory committee in 2016, headed by the former commissioner for information  Maja Umeh , to reconcile the aggrieved APGA members under the Movement for  Greater Anambra State Group, MOFGAS into the party.
A move adjudged by them as an operation poised to humiliate the interest of the defeated members in court as a fall out of their court processes which according to them did not meet up to sincere reconciliation move of aggrieved members back to the party.
Only time would tell, if their sudden rise to embrace candidate of an opposition party would protect the long agitated interest they yearned for.
