Political party aspirants in the forthcoming Governorship elections in Anambra state have been urged to ensure they give peace a chance and avoid all kinds of violent before, during and after the guber elections.
The appeal was made yesterday by the founder and Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke, Idemmili North local government Area of Anambra State, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, Ebube Muonso at his Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State while speaking to newsmen.
Reverend Father Obimma as well asked them to allow the will of God to prevail in the elections to avoid His wrath even as he insisted God has revealed to him who the next Anambra Governor would be but he would not announce it until the opportune time.

Ebube Muonso as he is fondly called reminded aspirants that their intention of seeking public office is to serve the people and not to fill their private pockets even as he re-echoed his warning to electorates and politicians against violence in the November 18 governorship poll.

He said:  “It is only God who will decide who the next governor will be and he has already packaged that person and he revealed the person to me. Let people vote according to their conscience but God has the final say. It is not a do or die affair but the next governor will be a surprise to everybody.

“Aspirants should as well know that they are going there to represent the masses and not to fill their pockets or marginalise others. They should know that they are there to serve. Christ came to serve and not to be served and that was why he washed the disciple’s feet. Let us eschew violence, hatred, idolatry, wickedness, injustice and embrace peace.

The fiery preacher appealed to electorates to ensure no breech of peace in whatever they do, because without peace the state would not move forward.

He believes in restructuring of Nigeria, but lamented that people of the south East and other zones are being marginalized from the scheme of things and called on Igbo stakeholders to sit up and speak against the injustice.

“In our country Nigeria, it is certain that there is marginalization, nepotism and tribalism. We are one Nigeria but some people are being marginalized and that is the essence of all these agitations but in everything, let there be prudence and let also pray for divine intervention because the heart of every king is in the hand of God.

Ebube Muonso thanked God for President Muhammadu Buhari’s safe return and quick recovery, calling on him to look into agitations bedevilling the nation and mindless killings.

“We thank God for Buhari’s return and the entire ministry have been praying for him for safe return. Nobody will wish a fellow human being death but the president should know that Nigerians love him”.
He condemned the mindless killing of farmers by herdsmen across the country and appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene to stop the killings before it takes another dimension. He asked Hausa’s and others targeting Ndigbo for massacre to stop .
Ebube Muonso condemned the quit notice by Northern youths though they have withdrawn it insisting that it is suicidal because Huasa’s making the order are scattered all over the world even in America and United Kingdom without anybody asking them to go.
