Ebube Muonso begs Kanu pursue peace and to trade with caution, ..As over 200,000 IPOB members visit the fiery preacher

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, led over 200,000 members to the Parish Priest of Blessed Iwene Tansi, Umudioka, Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso for a thank you visit for upholding the truth always and for prayers.

Rev Fr Obimma who is also the founder and Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke, Idemmili North local government council of Anambra State, received Nnamdi Kanu and his members appealing to them to ensure no breech of peace in whatever they do.

Father Obimma, popularly called Ebube Muonso prayed for the pro-Biafran agitators after a 30 minutes closed door meeting with their leader, Kanu. He said he reached a consensus with Kanu on the way forward but did not disclose that. The visit came shortly after shutting Ekwulobia on Sunday for IPOB rally which according to Emma Powerful was to make a statement that IPOB is serious for an independent Nation called Biafra.

Father Ebube Muonso, after the closed door meeting with Kanu described Kanu as a courageous leader but warned him to have a rethink on the threat to boycott November 18 Anambra governorship election, adding that  any country or state without a leader is like ship in a river sailing  without bearing.

His words: “For me, it will be more problematic to say that there won’t be any election in Anambra state. It’s like somebody firing gun on his toes. Kanu is a human being and activist to the best of my knowledge.

He requested to see me and amidst all odds, I granted the opportunity and we had some deliberations geared towards the good of Anambra State and Nigeria in general because I am a priest of God.  Christ, when he died, reconciled both the Jews and the Gentiles.

“Christ came into the world and reincarnated the message of peace and that was why I advised Kanu to uphold peace following the tensions everywhere in the country. Let love lead all that we do. I advised him to do anything within his power to forestall peace, even in their agitation, let there be prudence.

The fiery preacher, who threw his weight behind restructuring Nigeria, lamented that people of the south East and other zones are being marginalized from the scheme of things and called on Igbo stakeholders to sit up and speak against the injustice.

“In our country Nigeria, it is certain that there is marginalization, nepotism and tribalism. We are one Nigeria but some people are being marginalized and that is the essence of all these agitations but in everything, let there be prudence and let also pray for divine intervention because the heart of every king is in the hand of God.

“Igbos are clamoring for Biafra but an average Igbo man is selfish in nature and the question is, how matured are we to handle our affairs. Where are the Igbo cabals and stakeholders; like Nnia Nwodo, Peter Obi, Emeka Anyaoku, Ifeanyi Ubah, Soludo, Iwuanwaywu, Ibeto and many others. There has to be a unifying umbrella where they will gather and register their protest” he said.

Ebube Muonso thanked God for President Muhammadu Buhari’s safe return and quick recovery, calling on him to look into agitations bedeviling the nation and mindless killings.

“We thank God for Buhari’s return and the entire ministry has been praying for him for safe return. Nobody will wish a fellow human being death but the president should know that Nigerians love him”.

Kanu although did not speak after the meeting, he was in Umudioka to thank Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, for prayer and appreciation for lending voice to the voiceless in the South East.
