The Anambra state sector commander of the federal Road Safety Corps Sunday Ajayi has warned motorists to be safety conscious especially at this Yuletide period. Ajayi Made this public in an interview with newsmen in Awka, warned motorists to always imbibe safety laws, said their safety is paramount to the corps.
Reacting to the recent crash at Oba that claimed five lives, the sector Commander attributes the crash to an act of negligence on the part of the commercial driver, who he claimed drove against traffic, knowing the state of his vehicle.
He urged motorist to ascertain the level of their vehicle fitness before embarking of any journey.
Commenting on the level of the corps preparedness to ensure safety in the yuletide, Ajayi revealed that the command has stationed its personnel to flash points with the assistance of other traffic agencies operating in the state .
