Six persons have been killed by suspected armed bandits in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.
Police in the state say the bandits invaded Udawa village in the local government to cause the mayhem.
But beyond the killings, the bandits also inflicted a community member with gunshot wounds and rustled a yet to be verified number of cattle.
Police authorities say personnel of the force have been mobilised to the area for search, possible arrest of the culprits and recovery of the rustled cattle.
They commiserate with families of the deceased, assuring that the perpetrators will be apprehended and brought to justice.
