* Enjoins Anambra to 'celebrate with love and gifts to the indigent families
Wife of Anambra State Governor and founder, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), a Charity, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, has warned Nigerians, especially residents of Anambra State, against what she described as “complacent attitude towards the Coronavirus pandemic”, saying Nigerians would underestimate the dangers of Covid-19, especially during festive times like these, at their own peril.
In a statement signed by Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Emeka Ozumba, Mrs. Obiano urged Nigerians, Anambra citizens in particular, not to underestimate the dangers of the Coronavirus pandemic but to try and stay healthy by washing hands frequently, observing social distancing and wearing face mask in public places.
While acknowledging the challenges that humanity has had to contend with this year, Mrs. Obiano also called on Nigerians, particularly Anambra citizens, to count their blessings from God despite all the challenges that 2020 brought with it, and celebrate the season by sharing with, and spreading love to, one another especially with the less-privileged and the downtrodden in the society.
Said the First Lady: “Though the year 2020 has been turbulent, owing to global health and economic challenges, we are privileged to have survived the storm and we are eternally grateful to God.”
“Let us not despair, but count our blessings,” she added. “Let us celebrate sharing love and gifts with the indigent, the physically challenged and the less privileged in our midst,” she stressed.
The Anambra First Lady extended her good wishes to the good people of Anambra State, saying: “On behalf of my family and the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), I wish you all happy celebrations and a Prosperous New Year.”
