Anambra 2021: PDP, APGA, APC excos, 300 members tear membership cards, decamp to Labour Party

The newly rejuvenated and repackaged Labour Party (LP) in Anambra state has continued its stride in routing the other key political parties in the state, including the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), the People's Democratic Party(PDP) and the All Progressives Congress(APC) ahead the fast approaching 2021 Anambra governorship election.

The Anambra 7th House of Assembly, celebrate one year in office, having been inaugurated on June 12, 2019, and on Friday, June 12, 2020, invited guests for modest celebration, preceding with Thanksgiving Church Service, officiated by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor. Bishop Ezeokafor commended the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Victor Okafor, for his piety in seeking God’s intervention with Thanksgiving Mass, adding that “Unless God builds the house, labourers toil in vain”. He prayed that the intentions of the conveners of the ceremony shall be granted by God, as their services are for God and humanity.

The Abba Town Union (ATU), Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, has petitioned the Anambra State House of Assembly, Awka, requesting for intervention to resolve land dispute amicably. The request was made by the Town, when their leaders made a peaceful protest march, to the House, recently.
