The Senate at Wednesday's plenary urged President Buhari to declare a state of emergency on insecurity in the country
This decision was the outcome of a point of order moved by Senator Sani Musa representing Niger East, on the Kidnap of school Children from Government Science Secondary school , Kagara , Niger State
.Accordingto the lawmaker, unknown gunmen stormed the school premises in the early hours of the morning, killing security guards on duty and whisking away the students.Watch Video Here .
The exact number of school children kidnapped is yet to be ascertained.
While reacting to the motion moved by his colleague , Senator Bima also representing Niger south was furious about the worsening insecurity and said the government is incompetent in handling the Security situation of the country
