The Local Organising committee of the National sports festival tagged Edo 2020 has said the games will be brought to an end on Thursday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Project Manager, Media and Communications of Edo 2020, Mister Ebomhiana Musa.
According to the statement, the reason for halting the games is failure of the Federal government to release funds it had early pledged in support of the state government for smooth running of the event.
The committee regretted the decision but concluded it was left with no other option having expended its reserve on kick starting the event
