The Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, *Lady Ndidi Mezue, Ada Dioramma,* on Saturday, April 3, 2021, kicked off a first of its kind, Football Kiddies Camp in Nkpor, Idemili North LGA.
The camping which is at the *Anglican Girls Secondary School*, Nkpor, and specifically opened for young aspiring female footballers to sharpen their craft, is the brainchild of *Maureen Madu,* former Super Falcon Captain and assistant coach.
The digital Commissioner who proceeded to do the honour of first kick, to signal the commencement of the camp, commended the Maureen Madu led team, for its high value and general understanding of the roles of sports, and particularly football, in grooming the lives of young ones, who are the indisputable leaders of tomorrow. She went on to describe Madu as a humble role model for kids who aspire to play football at highest level.
While charging the young lads to be focus and strive for greatness in any of their chosen volition, Lady Mezue avowed that sports is one good way for developing talent, character, teamwork, and endurance required for the proper functioning of the youths in the wider society. And sports must be encouraged for youths to properly galvanize and harness their full potentials, and keep them out of anti-social conducts and activities.
It is believed that the immediate and remote benefits for organizing the Kiddies Football Camp will be achieved by the time it ends, and going forward.
