The Federal high court sitting in Abuja with on 27th September rule on the propriety or otherwise of the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) taking over the case file of former Imo state Governor, Ikedi Ohakim.
In the charge which the police sought to discontinue, Mr Ohakim alongside Chinedu Okpareke were alleged to have threatened to release a nude photograph of a nominal complainant, Chinyere Amuchienwa.
But in a dramatic twist, the nominal complainant, Chinyere Amuchiena Igwegbe was arrested by the police at the court premises shortly after the proceedings.
Her arrest by operatives of the police was in respect of a four-count charge of false information filed against her by the Inspector General of Police.
In the said charge signed by Matthew Omasun and Rotshang Faith Dimka, the prosecution accused Mrs Amuchienwa of supplying false information to the police with the intention to defame the defendants.
