- Chizoba Diamond reports that the Chairman APGA Peace and Reconciliation Committee, Senator Victor Umeh on Wednesday in Awka received in audience key supporters of Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji who have resolved not to leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The group led by the Director-General of Chukwuma Umeoji Campaign Organization, Mr. Nchekwube Anthony (Ezesinachi) and the secretary, Hon. Chika Ibeneme (Odaa Opuo) comprised of 23 Political Appointees to Governor Obiano who had supported Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji's gubernatorial aspiration.
According to Nchekwube, they decided to stay back in APGA after the Supreme Court Judgement and support the party and it's candidate, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his running mate, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim for the November 6th Anambra Gubernatorial Election.
Responding, Senator Umeh commended the group for its decision to remain in APGA led by Ozonkpu Victor Oye.
“Everyone should come back let's work together for the victory of APGA and continue on the mission of APGA for Ndigbo. Let's continue on the services APGA has been rendering to Anambra State. That is my prayer. Those who dwell in the past will miss tomorrow.
“Governor Willie Obiano has done his best. He has kept the flag of our party flying and he is going to hand it flying much higher to the incoming Governor through APGA! That is our mission!” Umeh said.
