The Nigerian Army has denied its involvement of it's troops in the alleged kidnap incident of the Methodist Prelate in Abia state,
The military distanced it's troops from the allegations of ’ complicity
Director Army Public Relations Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu,
The military expresses concern and sympathy for the victim of the heinous crime, said the allegations of kidnap is not premised on any finding of investigation.
The military acknowledged the spate of insecurity in the region, but promised to take the weighty allegation seriously and approach the prelate to unravel the basis of the allegation.
Recently, the prelate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Kanu Uche was kidnapped at Lokpanta along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Umuneochi LGA Abia state, but has since been released after ransom was paid.
