The Igbo-Etiti Media Association, South-East, an association of media practitioners in Nigeria, has honoured Mr Emeka Ezeh, Head, Corporate Communications of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) with “2022 Achievers Award”.
Presenting the award to Ezeh on Friday at the EEDC Corporate Headquarters in Enugu, the President-General of the association, Chief Ken Nwodo, said that the award was in recognition of his positive impact on the society.
Nwodo, who gave the award in company of one of his executives, Mr Stanley Agbodo, noted that Ezeh had contributed immensely to the developmental strides in Enugu State and Nigeria in general by supporting youths' initiatives.
“This award is in recognition of his positive impact on the society and the developmental strides exhibited in the area of youths' initiative support, community service and human empowerment in Enugu State and Nigeria in general.
“The award is part of the association’s programme designed to identify and reward well-meaning Nigerians who have impacted positively on the lives of people in the society and also excelled in different endeavours of life,” he added.
Responding, Ezeh thanked the leadership of the association for the recognition and assured them that he would continue doing his best within his capacity to contribute positively to societal advancement.
“I will not relent in my little way to continue to contribute to the progress of humanity,” he said.
He further commended the association for the support they had always extended to his office by ensuring that “the right information is being disseminated to the public”.
“I encourage you people, as journalists and opinion leaders of the society, to remain resolute and unbiased in discharging of your duties without fear or favour,” he added.
it would be recalled that in November 2021, the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) bestowed on Ezeh the “Distinguished Youth Ambassadorial Award”.
The “Distinguished Youth Ambassadorial Award” that made him the “most customer friendly personality of the year”, was in recognition and appreciation of his contribution to the growth and development of youths in Nigeria.
