Christmas: Sir Paul Chukwuma Fetes Anambra APC Executives As APGA Chieftain Joins Party

As a way of thanking God for gifting him with a twin babies (all boys), which has eluded him for years now and also for appreciating the executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their steadfastness, the former National Auditor of the party, Sir Paul Chukuma (Onwa Umueri), on Saturday, 16th December 2023 shared over 800 bags of rice as well as cash gift to all the Local Government Areas and the state executives of the party.
Distributing the largesse in Awka the Anambra State Capital in the presence of some party's stakeholders including the Nigerian Ambassador to Burundi, His Excellency, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba and three-time member of House of Representatives, Hon Lynda Ikpeazu, Sir Chukwuma said apart from the Christmas palliatives, he would also mount APC billboards in all the 21 Local Government Areas of the state to project the activities of the party ahead of the governorship election.
He said he was offering the services as part of his contribution to promote the party and to ensure that Anambra was fully connected to the centre through the APC channel, adding that it was the most populous political party in Africa.
He equally called on the members to recognized Senator Andy Uba as the leader of the party in the State.
Earlier in a remark, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nze Chidi Duru noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had shown approved a blueprint geared towards capturing the state in the next gubernatorial election.
According to him, the winning plan was disclosed by the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, during a stakeholders meeting he held with leaders of the party from Anambra State in Abuja, recently.
Nze Duru enjoined the executive members of the party to commenced as soon as possible, ward-ward mobilisation, saying that it would go a long way in granting the Party victory in the state.
He announced that the National Chairman of the party, Ganduje would be visiting Anambra State by January, 2024 to interfaced with all party supporters including aggrieved members as part of the preparation for the gubernatorial election.
While commending Chukuma for the kind gesture, the Organising Secretary, who also represented the National Chairman at the event, called on the party faithful to make unity of purpose their watchword, noting that togetherness remained the only reason the party would succeed in taking over power from the state ruling-All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government led by Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
Addressing the gathering, the State chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike, appealed to other wealthy members of APC in the state to emulate Chukuma, saying that such gesture had never been done in the state.
He noted that the gesture would strengthened peace and unity among members in Anambra and beyond.
The party during the event received the former elected and appointed Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area and the man behind the formation of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra State (OCHA Brigade), an APGA chieftain, Hon Hillary Onyekwelu Udano to the APC.
Receiving the decampee, Nze Duru assured him of level playing ground and urged him to feel free to contribute his quota towards the development of the party. He implored him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the party.
