APGA Government Shutdown School without investigation.

As the report of an alleged incident at Blessed Wisdom Model School Onitsha, claiming that the school flogged a child one miss Ifechkwu Egnuniwe of 2 years has come to light, we the Pechilly Investigative Channel team conducted an investigation to examine the veracity of these claims. That leads to the shutting down of the school.

Popular Ibadan-based prankster Abdullahi Mahruf, also known as Trinityguy has been released on bail from detention at the Agodi correctional centre in Ibadan.  

One of his colleagues Abdul Gafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, popularly known as Cute Abiola confirmed this on through a Facebook post on Friday.

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Ahmed Ammani, has called for the support of the judiciary in implementing an effective criminal administration system within the state.

Ammani made the call when he paid a familiarisation visit to the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Raymond Ozoemena, in his office at the Enugu State High Court Complex, Enugu.

11 Members Of NULGE Arraigned In Awka


11 members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) were last Wednesday, arraigned before the Magistrate Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State capital.

The NULGE members were arraigned on a 6-count charge by the Anambra State Police in a matter between them and the Commissioner of Police in the state.

The Daniel Ukwu Leadership Foundation, an Enugu-based NGO, has urged African leaders to provide people-oriented and positive leadership to fasttrack development and reduce poverty in the continent.

The Executive Director of the foundation, Mr Daniel Ukwu, made the call on Wednesday, while speaking on the importance of the Nelson Mandela International Day in an interview with newsmen in Enugu.

Enugu Custodial Study Centre undergraduate population grew from 12 to 318 - Education officer

 

The Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC), Mr Kelvin Iloafonsi, says  Enugu Custodial Special Study Centre undergraduate population has grown from 12 to 318 within the past 12 years.

Iloafonsi, who is the Education Desk Officer of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) at the Centre, disclosed this to newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday.

 The Immediate past member representing Anaocha I State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Ejiofor Ebele Leonard, has faulted the Federal Government of Nigeria proposed 8000 Naira Monthly palliative measure geared towards cushioning the effects of Subsidy removal on Nigerians, describing it as corruption as well as an insult to the masses.
