The general consensus at the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Anaocha Stakeholders Political Summit was that Anaocha Local Government Area will ensure that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo got 100% votes in the next gubernatorial election irrespective of opposition elements.
The Anaocha stakeholders political summit which was held at the prestigious Golden Tulip Hotel Agulu last weekend, was convened inorder to galvanise APGA stalwarts in the area to cross pollinate ideas towards ensuring that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo returned to the Government House for a second term in office.
The summit which was convened by the Anaocha APGA Local Government Chairman Chief Anthony Ugorji, had the former House of Representatives member Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, the State Commissioner for Health Dr. Afam Obidike, the Chairman Anambra State Water Corporation Engr. Chief Ikeobi Ejiofor, High Chief Ben Obi Igwe APGA, Ozo Obi Ochije Modilim Ozo Awka, His Royal Majesty Igwe Christopher Ndubuisi Okpala Igwe Akwaeze and other stakeholders in attendance.
It was indeed a gathering of Anaocha political heavyweights as all concurred that there was no vacancy in the Government House come 2025 and that Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo deserved another term judging from the tempo of infrastructural transformations across Anambra State.
Speaking exclusively with this journalist, the Commissioner for Health Dr. Afam Obidike who was an award recipient on the occasion and hails from Akwaeze in Anaocha, said Anaocha is united for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and judging from the good works of the governor, there is absolutely no reason the people of Anaocha and Ndi-Anambra will not rally round the governor.
Obidike who stated that irrespective of the machinations of the opposition political parties, Anambra people have settled for Soludo because he has touched all the sectors of the state economy.
He also pointed out that Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has won the best Governor award on infrastructure and the results, according to him, are visible for all to see and appreciate, having constructed over 400 kilometers of road infrastructure in just two years.
High Chief Ben Obi (Igwe APGA) who spoke so passionately about the need to support Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, said the All Progressives Grand Alliance has continued to deliver good governance and democracy dividends to Anambra citizens. He was however optimistic that Governor Soludo will win his second term bid and according to him, no opposition will dare to stop him in Anaocha or anywhere in Anambra.
Also Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, former House of Representatives member who represented Dunukofia-Njikoka-Anaocha federal constituency at the Green Chambers and hails from Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka council area, acknowledged the giant developmental strides of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, emphasizing that Soludo's second term aspiration is a done deal and that no opposition can stop it from coming to fruition.
On his part, an APGA chieftain from Awka-South Local Government Area, Ozo Obi Ochije Modilim(Ozo Awka) who attended the summit, acknowledged too that Anaocha is the first amongst the 21 Local Government Areas of the State to start rooting for Soludo's second term reelection.
Ozo Obi Ochije who described the current APGA chairman of Anaocha council area as one who has the capacity to move the party to greater heights in the council area, advised that the current leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anaocha to hold on tenaciously to the grassroots especially as the next governorship election drew nearer.
Meanwhile the Secretary of the Planning Committee of the 2024 Anaocha Stakeholders Political Summit, comrade Rome Ibekwe, said the crowd at the summit depicted the fact that Anaocha is really rooting for Soludo's reelection and solidly behind him.
Ibekwe stated that all the stakeholders from the 19 political wards in Anaocha attended the forum to jaw-jaw and to chart a new cause of action for APGA Anaocha, assuring that Governor Soludo will get 100% support from Anaocha people.
According to him, the aim of the 2024 Anaocha Stakeholders Political Summit was to rub minds on how best to ensure that APGA continues to win elections especially with the coming of Anambra 2025 governorship polls.
The convener of Anaocha Stakeholders 2024 Political Summit, who also functions as Anaocha APGA Local Government Chairman, Chief Anthony Ugorji, while delivering his address outlined some of the achievements of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in the last two years.
Ugorji who observed that Governor Soludo has recorded tangible results in his efforts to revamp the entire State as well as change the status quo, mentioned health, education, road infrastructure and other sectors the governor has transformed in just two years.
He therefore urged all and sundry to support Anaocha Local Government and also support the Government of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to enable him to bequeath to Ndi-Anambra a liveable, lovable and prosperous homeland.
