Idemili North TC Chairman, Nkwoka Attends Eziowelle Town Union Election, Congratulates Winner, Sues For Peace

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon Chief (Sir) Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) on Saturday, 29th June 2024 attended Eziowelle Town Union Election with a call on the newly elected President-General of Eziowelle Improvement Union (EIU), Dr. Julian Obiora, to be magnanimous in victory, even as he urged all the contestants and their supporters to join hands together with the winner to move the Community forward. 


In his congratulatory message, Chief Nkwoka stated that he was impressed with the way and manner the election was conducted, expressing delight with the decorous, maturity, and comportment of the contestants and their supporters, voters as well as the observers, adding that the election was adjugded by those present as free , fair and credible. 


 The Chief Servant of Idemili North advised the new PG to run an open door policy and also work towards consolidating and improving on the existing peace, law and order in Eziowelle, emphasizing that no town Union can make any meaningful progress in atmosphere of chaos and brigandage. 


  Ochendo Idemili while congratulating the newly elected PG thanked the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the special love he had for the people Idemili North and for restoring people's confidence in town Union activities as well as bringing about a lasting peace in all the 179 Communities in Anambra State. 


   He commended the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Tony Collins Nwabunwanne (Ife Anam) and National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU), Chief (Barr.) Titus Akpudo (Ichaka) for they were doing in their various offices, saying that their roles towards achieving one united, progressive, peaceful and indivisible Communities in Anambra State cannot be overstated and asked them to maintain the tempo. 


  The election held at Eziowelle Civic Centre had representatives of branches of Eziowelle Improvement Union (EIU) in attendance.
