The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun Sector Command has reported that two individuals died in a road accident on the Long Bridge of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:38 a.m. on Monday and involved a Mazda bus (registration number EDE217XB) and a MAN diesel truck (registration number AJL715XA).
According to Florence Okpe, the command’s spokesperson, the accident involved three adult males, with one person sustaining injuries. The crash was attributed to road obstruction and driver fatigue. The injured individual was taken to Hopeland Hospital Warewa, while the deceased were transported to Real Divine Hospital morgue in Ibafo.
Sector Commander Akinwumi Fasakin expressed condolences to the families of the victims and urged drivers to remain vigilant, take regular breaks, and avoid fatigue to prevent such accidents.
