At Presidential Villa, President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to chair the National Council of State meeting.

 

Tinubu is hosting his first Council of State meeting since taking office as president, and it just got underway.



All of the current living former presidents and leaders of state are anticipated to attend the gathering.


Former Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan were visible as of the time this brief report was filed, while Abdulsalami Abubakar and former Head of State Yakubu Gowon participated digitally.


The first item on the agenda is the aftermath of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations, which began on August 1 and eventually ended despite the original plan for a 10-day stand-in.


In addition to the current demonstrations, ministers from the Tinubu administration are scheduled to address the Council.


The president has invited the ministers expressly to give the presentations, even though they are not members.


The Chief of the Federation's Civil Service, the NSA, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the Special Adviser on Information & Strategy are among the other cabinet members anticipated to attend.


The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, the Minister for Works, the Minister for Road Construction, and the Minister in Charge of the Ministry are among the speakers scheduled for today, in addition to National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu's lead presentation.


The President, the Chairman; Vice-President, the Deputy Chairman; all past Presidents of the Federation and Heads of the Government of the Federation; all past Chief Justices of Nigeria; President of the Senate; Speaker of the House of Representatives; all former Governors of the Federation states; Minister of Justice; and Attorney General of the Federation are the members of the Council of State.
