.... Pays Tribute To The Late Patriarch

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka(Ochendo Idemili),says he was reduced to tears on hearing about the demise of High Chief Samuel Ajaefo Mendu (Onwa Oyoko Ogidi), who died at the age 71 years.
In his condolence message contained in a statement signed and made available to Newsmen at Council's Headquarters, Ogidi, shortly after a brief ceremony organized in the honour of the late Patriarch described Late Onwa Ogidi as a genuine philanthropist and a lover of his people, emphasizing that he would be sorely missed by his kinsmen, Idemili North and Anambra State in general.
It was tributes upon eulogies this morning as dignitaries who thronged Idemili North Local Government Area Council's Headquarters, Ogidi, in the early hours of today to pay their last respect.
'My heartfelt condolences to the Mendu family and the entire Ogidi community over the passing of their patriarch. On behalf of the good people of Idemili North, I condole with his immediate family, Igwe Pharm. Alex Uzo Onyido and the entire people of Ogidi. May His rest in peace. Amen,' he prayed
