TUBERCULOSIS: NGO SEEKS RELEASE OF BUDGETED FUNDS

A Non-Governmental Organization, Gender Perspective and Social Development Centre, (GPSDC), has solicited prompt release of funds budgeted for government's response to tuberculosis in Anambra State. 

The Executive Director of the organization, Eucharia Anekwe, made the call when her team visited the Executive Secretary, Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Chisom Uchem in her office to solicit support for the Fund TB Project in the area.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo youth wing has commended President Bola Tinubu for signing into law the much anticipated South East Development Commission (SEDC) Bill.

Troops raid IPOB/ESN camps, neutralise 2 commanders, recover arms in Imo, Abia

 


The troops of the Joint Task Force South-East, code-named "Operation UDO KA", in conjuction with other security agencies have raided camps of the Indigenous People of Biafara (IPOB) and its armed affiliate the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Imo and Abia.

The troops neutralised two IPOB/ESN commanders, recovered arms and ammunition as they raided camps of the irredentist group in some communities in Imo and Abia States.
